I’m Peter Schleifer, the owner and guide of Cairns Urban Walking Tours. I started these tours to share my genuine love for this city — its fascinating history, creative street art, vibrant food scene, and the diverse people who make Cairns such a unique place.
Having lived here for many years, I’ve discovered countless hidden corners, local stories, and cultural gems that most visitors never get to see. My tours are all about slowing down, walking the streets, and truly experiencing the local atmosphere. I enjoy connecting with travellers, sharing a few laughs, and helping people see Cairns from a different, more personal perspective.
